LINZ, AUSTRIA – This past weekend, our CEO Cindy Chin joined the Mercedes-Benz EQ team for an exciting weekend in Linz at the Ars Electronica #AIxMusicFestival. Attended by designers, artists, musicians and extraordinary creatives, this was a daring bunch to exchange ideas with including some of Daimler’s deep thinkers on future studies and ideation with Alexander Mankowsky and reunited with Sabine Engelhardt, the inventor of the magical elixirs of fragrances in all 11 classes of Mercedes Benz vehicles.
Capped with an EQ Spark AR workshop working with software to create face filters with the queen of face filters, Johanna Jakowska, whose creations have had over 400 million users.
“This is aspiring and inspiring in both product and practice,” says Chin. The launch of their first fully electric car, the EQ models (#EQC model pictured here) will be available in markets including China at the end of 2019 in Mercedes Benz’s shift towards #sustainability and #electricmobility. Daimler announced its goal to be carbon neutral by 2039 under its “Ambition2039” directive. By reducing the CO2 footprint in Mercedes Benz vehicles in the next 20 years, Daimler will comply with the commitments in the Paris Climate Accord and goals of reducing climate change effects.
