Critical scientific experiments on board include:
• Mobile SpaceLab for better tissue and cell culturing in space
• The Mochii investigation provides an initial demonstration of a new miniature scanning electron microscope (SEM) with spectroscopy. Mochii will demonstrate real-time, on-site imaging and measurements of micro- and nanostructures aboard the space station.
• Bone loss examination in microgravity
• Fighting viruses with bacteriophages, aka phases
• The Spacecraft Fire Experiment-IV (Saffire-IV) investigation examines fire development and growth in different materials and environmental conditions, fire detection and monitoring, and post-fire cleanup capabilities

“At the eve of NASA’s #StateofNASA week around the country, I am very excited to join #NASASocialagain. Rocket launches is more than sending sustenance and supplies up to the International Space Station, ISS. It’s also bringing critical scientific research and experiments into microgravity to discover the “why’s” and unknowns on our planet. It includes medical research, the health of our astronauts above Earth’s atmosphere, and lifts the imaginations and curiosity of what living in space is like. These steps are crucial for human space exploration in deep space and I am fortunate to be a part of witnessing it first-hand. I look for to learning more about these mission experiments and the people behind it.”

— Cindy Chin, CEO CLC Advisors

About NASA
For more than 50 years, NASA has been breaking barriers to achieve the seemingly impossible — from walking on the Moon to pushing the boundaries of human spaceflight farther than ever before. We work in space and around the world in laboratories and wind tunnels, on airfields and in control rooms to explore some of life’s fundamental mysteries: What’s out there in space? How do we get there? And what can we learn that will make life better here on Earth? We are passionate professionals united by a common purpose: to pioneer the future in space exploration, scientific discovery and aeronautics research. Today, we continue NASA’s legacy of excellence and innovation through an unprecedented array of missions. We are developing the most advanced rockets and spacecraft ever designed, studying the Earth for answers to critical challenges facing our planet, improving the air transportation experience, and so much more. Join us as we reach for new heights and reveal the unknown for the benefit of humanity.
