Washington D.C. – CLC Advisors, LLC CEO Cindy Chin was invited to attend the “Our Ocean” Conference hosted by Secretary of State John Kerry at the Department of State in Washington D.C. In the days and weeks leading up to the conference, citizens everywhere were invited to participate and follow along via social media using hashtag #OurOcean2014 and through the department’s first Thunderclap, Show Your Love of Our Ocean photo campaign, and the Protect Our Ocean Call to Action.

A dozen participants were hand picked from online applicants and 400 attendees including 3 heads of state, foreign ministers, policymakers, scientists, environmentalists, business leaders, entrepreneurs, government agencies and staff were invited to attend the conference from 90 countries. The purpose of this summit was to gather to discuss ideas, pledge support and develop an action plan to protect the world’s oceans collectively as “Our Ocean.”
