Cindy is often asked to attend or speak at conferences and festivals for free. As a general rule, she does not and her schedule cannot accommodate every request she receives which is why we ask event organizers to fill out the inquiry form with Chartwell Speakers to help us identify which events to prioritize based on the right fit and needs. Her speaker agent will get back to you shortly. The link can be found here.
Here are the top criteria:
1. There must be at least half women, minorities, or people of color who are speakers on stage.
Gender parity, diversity, and inclusion are very important to Cindy. Having female speakers and people of color on the stage is mandatory and non-negotiable. A request will be refused if this is not met. A female moderator does not constitute a female speaker.
2. She expects to be paid.
Aretha Franklin never performed on stage without receiving payment for her performances. She did not become the Queen of Soul by giving free performances. If you’re not paying your speakers, then Cindy is not the person for you. She invests a tremendous amount of time – years actually – energy, resources, investment, and her global network in her work. Her presentations are not only labors of love but value-added products. If you want them or your clients will benefit from her knowledge and experience, then you’re going to have to pay for them. The ROI or return on investment in her work is worthwhile. Payment is due upon receipt in order to book her calendar. No exceptions.
3. Business travel and accommodations are required for out of town travel.
Cindy’s home base is New York City. If it is required for her to travel cross-country in the United States or internationally, business travel, accommodations, and expenses must be covered by the event organization. No event planner would like an exhausted speaker without energy or sleep on stage now, would they?

Innovation Workshops
Cindy specializes in half or one-day strategy retreats for small groups of senior executives in fields such as entrepreneurship, innovation, transportation and travel, blockchain and ICO’s/fintech, marketing, media and smart cities. She combines her presentation with interactive group work such as scenarios or predictions, all designed to maximize discussion and innovative thinking.
