There is a saying that I have been contemplating on for a number of weeks now, “don’t suck up all the oxygen in the room.” It is applied to a community that I’m a part of but it can also be applied more broadly in the context of the workplace. As we endure the down cycles of the economy and staff reductions, managers are making decisions about retaining talent and cultivating their employee needs. Will tech be a solution that adds more to productivity or are we in the downward spiral of collective burnout?
